Sociological Map of Insecurity – First Results
19 July 2016 The Sociological Map of Insecurity (SOMI), that can be accessed from MARGIN’s website, aims to display crime-related statistics geo-localised across the areas where the project fieldwork takes place. It shows results from crime victimisation surveys and police recorded crimes, disaggregated to the lowest geographical area for which we have information.more info

24 March 2016 The FORCE project (FOResight Coordination for Europe) is a project co-funded by the European Commission to examine previous Security foresight studies and horizon-scanning activities in Europe and produce, based on this work, a corresponding Foresight Exploration Model and Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS). This tool assists policy makers and stakeholders in the security domain to determine expectations about short-term, mid-term and long-term social and technological trends using methodologies and information from past, current and future foresight research activities.more info

The “International Feedback and Design Workshop for a Foresight Exploration Model” was designed as a 1.5 day workshop and took place on February 24th and 25th at the Technische Universität Berlin. It was attended by a total of 26 participants, who composed a heterogeneous group of members from a variety of potential end-user institutions including law enforcement, civil protection and disaster assistance, industry and foresight research.
